All big discoveries start with a question, and the way to the discovery is through finding the answer to that question. How do you produce wind power? How do wounds heal? When, and why, does an apple fall off a tree?

Do you have many questions about nature, animals, technology or anything else? Then join in!

Join in! It's so easy

Do you have a burning question? Then you have the chance to get this question answered by a scientist.

If you can't think of a question, explore your home and surroundings. What things surprise you? Are there things in your apartment or house that you want to know how they work? Or would you like to learn more about animals that live in your garden or plants that grow in a park?

Create a short video in which you read your question in German or English (approx. 30 seconds) and send us this video. Or just send and your question in writing. Both are possible.

Who can participate?

Are you going to a primary school in Australia? Then you can participate in the Kinderuni Curiosity Contest! We can’t wait to see what you came up with!

Send your question in writing or in the form of a video or video link to

Closing date: 30 October 2020.

The most imaginative questions will be answered by scientists.
