Currently, Salzmann is writer-in-residence at the Maxim Gorki Theatre in Berlin and teaches creative writing in Germany, Turkey, Moldova, Spain, Italy and the USA.

Melbourne Writers’ Festival: Happily Ever After?
Sat 31 Aug, 11.30am, Isabelle Fraser Room, State Library Victoria

With same-sex marriage enshrined in law, it appears queer people can have it all – family, house and white picket fence. SL Lim, Peter Polites, Sally Rugg, and Sasha Marianna Salzmann discuss if there should be agitation against traditional, heteronormative ‘happily ever after’ notions.
