A Note from the Cultural Program Team
Dear friends of the Goethe-Institut in Australia,
Thanks for checking our online calendar, which is usually filled with exciting events. As you can imagine, the reason why we currently have no listings is because of the COVID-19 outbreak. Together with our Australian partners we need to cancel any further events to prevent any further spread of the virus.
We are monitoring the situation and will bring back public events as soon as it is officially safe to do so. Please feel free to contact us by email for requests about current and future projects. Working closely with our partners, we’re looking forward to continuing our cultural program.
Besides health and safety issues for our patrons and staff, we are worried about the challenges for people working in the arts in Germany, Australia and beyond. Many musicians, artists, art facilitators etc. are currently suffering heavy financial losses as a result of event cancellations. We will be as supportive and creative as possible to keep them busy with activities and projects, be it online or in preparation for postponed or future events. Feel free to contact us with any ideas.
