My interest in research stems from my desire to understand the world around me and finding out existing strengths in people which can be used to overcome challenges.

Ayesha is an Urban Research Practitioner at Paraa, overseeing the research coordination at Shala (Neighbourhood Art Space). Ayesha's interests lie in the mechanisms of Globalization and Urbanization, Post-colonial and queer-feminist Urban Studies, and Place-making. Ayesha started studying the dynamic socio-cultural nuances inherent to urban environments as a consequence of attempts in navigating Dhaka.
