The Author is Present

Every two years, the international house of literature Passa Porta welcomes writers, thinkers and artists from around the world to the heart of our country for the multilingual Passa Porta Festival. This year the literary event adopted a formula suited to the Covid pandemic – a full-fledged festival with a sophisticated digital programme:

Part of the online programme is for example Judith Schalansky. The author will talk about her recent publication An Inventory of Losses with interviewer Karen Billiet on Friday, 26.03.2021 from 14:30 - 15:30.

Because poetry has the power to move and connect us, the non-profit association Verb(l)ind launched ‘Poets on call’ in the midst of the lockdown as a kind of helpline for poetry lovers. On Sunday, 28 March 2021 from 20:00 - 22:00, in the frame of Passa Porta Festival, Verb(l)ind will repeat this initiative. Callers to the toll-free 0800 number will be put through to an available ‘poet on call’ in the language of their choice. Goethe-Institut is pleased to announce the participation of German poets Dagmara Kraus and Jan Wagner as part of ‘Poets on call’.

The number will be announced during the festival.
