Each fall, GRAFIXX, the extraordinary festival for graphic arts makes its appearance at De Studio. A meticulously curated group of artists from all over the world inspire with live performances, lectures, exhibitions, hands-on workshops, and screenings for young and old alike.
Two residencies of the Goethe-Institut Brussels will be exhibiting and presenting their work during the whole festival.
Anna Haifisch illustrates, and has already published several graphic novels. Her work is colourful and lends itself perfectly to graphic techniques like silkscreen and risograph printing. Haifisch was invited by Goethe-Institut Brussels for an artist residency last spring, and shows the results here
Like no other, Romy Blümel knows how to create harmony in many shapes, colours, and textures. Her meticulously detailed illustrations are a joy to get lost in. Blümel was invited by Goethe-Institut Brussels for a home art residency in 2020, and shows off the results at GRAFIXX.
Her Lecture will take place from 13:30 to 14:30. on the 27th of November.
