At our latest international book club meeting, we are delighted to welcome Behzad Karim Khani, who will present his book "Hund, Wolf, Schakal". The conversation will be led by the translator Rebecca Dewald.
Saam comes from Iran. He desperately tries to hold his own in an area of Berlin dominated by Arab gangs. In his spectacular debut novel
Hund, Wolf, Schakal (Hanser Berlin, 2022), Behzad Karim Khani writes about the complicated fates of revolutionaries and petty criminals. In the process, a very unique sound emerges that combines the melancholy of Iranian prose with the harshness of Afro-American rap.
All are welcome to attend the live online event; it is not a requirement to have read the book before. Participation is free and the discussion will be in German.
