Æther Art Space and Migrating voices welcome you to a semi-public event with presentations, readings, performances and screenings by the participants of the School of Kindness.

With: Anna Lounguine, Anto López Espinosa, Antonin Bouchy, Aya Kurteva, Galena Sardamova, Gvantsa Jgushia, Han Li, Irish Joy Deocampo, Julie Céline Bernadac, Maria Magdalena Arnaudova, Olga Vereli, Rayna Teneva, Sofie Verraest, Tsvetomira Borisova, Valentina Sciarra, Venuri Perera, Yen Chun Lin and Yiou Penelope Peng.

School of Kindness is a cross-disciplinary, school-workshop-seminar that is taking place for the first time in Sofia and its surroundings from 23 June – 7 July 2021.

Over the course of two weeks, participants from different artistic as well as non-artistic backgrounds, are engaging in a program of workshops, exercises, lectures, seminars and excursions, provided by 9 artists, writers, scholars, performers and activists from Bulgaria, other parts of Europe and the Arab region – to explore notions of kindness as an impetus to more just ways of living together, and as an ethic that inspires social-artistic practices.


School of Kindness is organized by Æther Art Space and the research project Migrating Voices.
