The corona pandemic had both positive and negative effects. Positive effects are the varying availability of online training courses that have helped us teachers to advance. The insufficient interaction between teacher and student, but also between colleagues, due to the rarer social contact and face-to-face events, had negative effects.

What was the biggest challenge at your school in moving to distance learning?

The biggest challenge of the educational processes at a distance was the teaching and the learning content to be prepared and conveyed in an understandable and learner-oriented manner. Perhaps the greatest challenge of all was to motivate the students to stay active in order to achieve their own learning goals.

The Remote Schools project definitely helped me to further develop distance learning because I got new information about the organization and implementation of distance learning. At the same time, I am now a little comforted that we all had similar difficulties in the region when we switched to distance teaching.

What did you find particularly interesting about this project? What else would you like to have?

I found the exchange of experiences particularly interesting, i.e. that we learned from and with each other and thus better networked and got to know our colleagues in Southeastern Europe.

I would like to see a sustainable implementation of the project results and networking with similar projects in Europe.

What still needs to be done to make digital teaching at your school successful?

For successful digital teaching, it is necessary to regularly renew the digital equipment and to train teachers and learners in the field of digital competence.
Furthermore, the good examples from practice are very important for successful digital teaching and testing them in your own teaching.

How would you describe the potential for your school / country to continue integrating forms of digital teaching into everyday school life in the future?

In my opinion, it is necessary to integrate the forms of digital teaching into everyday school life, because our current learners will have to deal with the forms of digital teaching on a daily basis in the future.

How do you see your school in about 10 years? What will have changed?

It is difficult to say what our school could look like in 10 years.

But I am sure that the teachers will do their best so that our students will have fun at school in 10 years' time, come to school smiling and leave school well prepared for all the challenges of modern life.
