Professor of English and Comparative Literature, PhD and researcher in Anthropology and Interdisciplinary Studies, he has worked with higher education institutions since 1988 in Africa at first and then in many universities around the world. His research focused, at first, on comparative literature, gender studies, religions (shamanism), and cultural connections through different connections. Today, more and more, his research raises cultural and anthropological questions and social identity construction patterns in global perspectives. He is the author of books in the area of anthropology and literature, fiction and poetry. Artist and researcher, he is at UFMG as the first ICORN scholar in Brazil.
