In unseren thematisch gebündelten Programmen blickt das Goethe-Institut Toronto mit Tiefenschärfe und konzentriertem Fokus in die Zukunft. Dies tun auch unsere renommierten internationalen Partner, die uns großzügig ihre Stimmen leihen und Antworten liefern, wenn wir der Frage nachgehen, was das Goethe- Institut bedeuten kann, was es tun kann und tun sollte und welchen Einfluss es in der kulturellen Ökologie hat; wie wir Veränderungen herbeiführen und Gemeinschaften bilden können; und wie wir eine breite Zuschauerschaft aktiv und auf sinnvolle und relevante Weise in kulturelle Ereignisse und Entwicklungen einbeziehen können.

German Film @ Canada

As Toronto is one of the most vibrant hubs for film culture in North America, in addition to its original programming, the Goethe-Institut Toronto proudly collaborates with a diverse group of partners to host exceptional screenings of work by German artists and filmmakers or with thematic connections to Germany. Collaborations are emphasizing diverse diasporic communities around the world, as well as the richness of historical and contemporary co-productions, with the institute co-presenting short, docs, animations and feature films.

GOETHE FILMS @ TIFF Bell Lightbox

GOETHE FILMS bringt für Torontos Zuschauer das Beste des Deutschen Films zusammen. Die GOETHE FILMS Serie bietet Filmliebhabern die Gelegenheit, sich eine kuratierte Auswahl zeitgenössischer deutscher Arthouse-Filme in Torontos wichtigstem Kino anzusehen.

European Union Film Festival Toronto

Das EUFF wurde 2005 von und im Goethe-Institut unter dem Namen „Eh! U Meet the Europeans“ als Ausdruck der vielfältigen, aber dennoch gemeinsamen europäischen Kultur gegründet. Das Festival eröffnete mit einem ehrgeizigen und vielfältigen Programm der 15 teilnehmenden Länder.
