Just in time for summer “The Miracle of Bern” will move us in the atmosphere of the “miraculous” summer in 1954, when Germany won the soccer world championship in Bern. The film by Sönke Wortmann was released in 2003. Besides the world championship it addresses the difficulties of a home coming prisoner of war and the relationship to his son. The film won among others the German Film Award in 2004.

The film will be shown in German with English subtitles. Afterwards there will be a moderated discussion.
