Film Screening Taste the Waste

German Film Club

Taste the Waste © W-film Distribution © W-film Distribution After taking a break over the summer, we are pleased to present our next Deutscher Filmklub at the Goethe-Institut Toronto. Join us to watch "Taste the Waste". The film screening will be followed by an informal discussion in German hosted by our current interns, Miriam Heyduck and Hanna Stelzer!

European households throw away 100 billion Euros worth of food each year. Why do we throw out so much food and how can we stop this kind of waste? "Taste the Waste" is a doc by Valentin Thurn that examines these questions and the ramifications of such waste on the world's food systems. From agriculture and food production to the impact on the world's climate, throwing out our foodstufs has a huge consequence on the world. Filmed in Europe, Africa, Asia and the USA, "Taste the Waste" is a documentary not to be missed!

Please note that the film will be in German with English subtitles.

German Film Club – "Meet, Watch and Discuss!" will show movies at the Goethe-Institut Toronto followed by a discussion afterwards. Themes and topics vary, and we meet once a month (unless specified) on Fridays.

About the moderators:
