Topic: "DaF inklusiv: Deutschunterricht für alle" - Deutschlernen vor dem Hintergrund gesellschaftlicher, persönlicher und technischer Vielfalt

The Canadian Association of Teachers of German kindly invites all members and other interested German teachers to the 2017 CATG conference at the Appleby College in Oakville, ON. This year’s theme is “DaF inklusiv: Deutschunterricht für alle”, which includes a number of interesting workshops.

Since the educational landscape is subject to constant change as well as to cultural and social diversification, teachers of German need to be prepared for these changes. What kind of teaching content and methods can ensure the inclusion of all target groups in teaching German as a foreign language in order to comply with the needs of different learners? What type of realignments – or if necessary also adaptions of existing concepts – have to be made concerning the content and the didactics?

The aim of the conference is to focus on the topic of inclusion and to offer a platform for discussion for the different aspects of the issue. It is addressed to all teachers of German as a foreign language and to principals from all types of schools and the developed strategies and solutions that are adaptable to all ages and school levels.

The CATG still accepts proposals for praxis-oriented workshops and presentations about the above mentioned topic within the context of teaching German as a foreign language. You will find more information about how to submit a proposal here .
