German Career Day at the University of Waterloo

No matter whether you are interested in a career in the fields of tourism, hotel management, education, science, technology or engineering – German skills can give you the right momentum when it comes to climbing up the career ladder!

On March 21st, high school and university students will have a chance to learn about German as the ultimate career booster. The Goethe-Institut Toronto, the University of Waterloo Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies, and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) are presenting Career Booster German(y) at the University of Waterloo.

This event consists of an Information Fair and a Panel Discussion. At the Information Fair, students can gather information on learning German skills and on how this skill can foster their career opportunities. There will be interesting and extensive information on different university programs, scholarships, internships and exchange programs, as well as on work and research opportunities in Germany and Canada. At the Panel Discussion, speakers from backgrounds in e.g. business and education will give important insight into how German can boost careers and how German skills have influenced their own career paths positively.

Career Booster German(y) is a free event and will take place at the University of Waterloo from 4-6.30 pm. If you and your class are interested in participating, please register with the name of your school and the number of students via email to sprache.praktikant@toronto.goethe.org
