TIFF 18 marks the return of Christian Petzold after his PHOENIX success two years ago with the refugee drama TRANSIT, starring Franz Rogowski and Paula Beer, straight from the Berlinale. Sven Taddicken has his world premiere in Toronto with THE MOST BEAUTIFUL COUPLE. Caroline Hellsgård presents her female zombie film ENDZEIT - EVER AFTER, based on Olivia Vieweg's graphic novel. Ulrich Köhler brings his Cannes film IN MY ROOM to TIFF. Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck is back 12 years after his Oscar-winning THE LIVES OF OTHERS with NEVER LOOK AWAY, starring Tom Schilling (OH BOY) and Paula Beer. German cinema icon Margarethe von Trotta, who is also on this year’s TIFF Platform jury, presents her first documentary, SEARCHING FOR INGMAR BERGMAN, alongside Werner Herzog's Gorbachev documentary (MEETING GORBACHEV).

The 43rd Toronto International Film Festival runs from September 6 to 16, 2018.
