Interactive Installation by The Constitute
Signature Event of Germany @ Canada 2017
By The Constitute / Berlin
August 30 – November 30, 2017
Presented in the Goethe-Institut’s windows on St-Laurent Blvd and Ontario St.
Multi-disciplinary design studio The Constitute, creators of the Human Beeing
projects, has been invited to create an interactive work for the windows of the Goethe-Institut. Featuring Germany’s capital city as inspiration, the public will be able to interact with 360° views of various Berlin neighbourhoods shot over a 24 hour period of time. Increasingly active internationally over the last few years, including in China, South Africa and Brazil, this will be The Constitute’s first work in Canada.
Presented in collaboration with Quartier des spectacles’ KM3 event and “Germany@Canada 2017 - Partners from Immigration to Innovation”.
The Constitute is a design, art and research studio based in Berlin and run by Christian Zöllner and Sebastian Piatza. By combining artistic and scientific practices they create interactive experiences for the public space.
Founded in 2012, The Constitute arose from the VR/urban media art collective. They have worked with several international cultural, industrial and research Institutions to develop and exhibit their works worldwide. Currently, their focus is investigating narrative and diegetic prototyping, as well as building public and socially sustainable interfaces. In addition, The Constitute is actively working in the field of teaching.
