Music-Sound
Born in Yaoundé in 1999 and originally from the town of Yagoua in the Far North of Cameroon, RAJ, whose real name is Astrid Jennifer Rassia, is the winner of the Goethe-Decouverte 2021 competition in the category Music-Sound. Beatmaker and sound technician in training, she is passionate about music in general and urban music in particular. She has always wanted to learn the sound business such as composition, arrangement, recording, etc. Inspired by various talents of the urban music scene in Cameroon, Europe and America, her choice for this profession has known long hesitations due to the skepticism of her family. After a few experiences in associations, she gained confidence and finally assumed her choices. Dreaming of a professional career as a composer, she enjoys the idea of showing another example of success in a professional environment strongly dominated by men.
