Considered as the best breeding ground for young Cameroonian cinema talent, the festival has been providing a platform for training, as well as for broadcasting cinematographic work from Cameroon and beyond since 2003. The 15th edition will be marked by several novelties, including free screening sessions reserved for close to 3,000 secondary school students from Douala, Yaounde, and the Garoua-Boulaï refugee camps, as well as a digital short film market. It will also feature open-air screenings in working-class neighbourhoods, beginners’ film directing workshops aimed at children from refugee camps, masterclasses with guests of honour, a festival village dedicated to exchanges, professional meetings and various performances, as well as the usual German evening meant to showcase a choice selection of recent German short films. The Yaounde Tout Court Festival is organised by Association Sud Plateau.
