AFA THE MIME
Passionate in Arts (Acting and writing) and sports (gymnastics) as early as class two, Jang Afanyuh Gehnjang had his first role in the end of year primary school drama. Getting into the secondary school, he joined the Drama club from where he was spotted and called by a movie house then known as ‘’Amazon Pictures Production’’. During his first year in the University of Yaoundé I where he studied Performing Arts and Cinematography he joined the “Visionary Theatre Troupe” where Acting and Writing became his daily activity. Unfortunately, he faced a great challenge of Language barrier which got his French audience lacking. Seeking a solution, he came across Miming and immediately went on YouTube, where he watched a stage play by “Et the Mime”. At this point, his decision was made to become a Mime. Through his plays, he preaches a philosophy of self-evaluation and re-look on society for positive change. Now, he presents ‘’IF’’ his first Winning play. With his body gestures, he would like to create his own impact, difference, contribution to solve global and societal issues and as well be an inspiration to many.
