Sita Bella Screening Room (Ministry of Communication)

Workshop for film critics hosted by Enoka Ayemba on 29 and 30 November from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Goethe-Institut.

The Goethe-Institut will be dedicating its last cinema week for this year to the theme “Living Together”. Seven films from various countries (Germany, Cameroon, Haiti, Chad, and Nigeria) have been earmarked by the programme planner and film critic Enoka Ayemba (Berlin, Germany). These films, which have grabbed awards at the biggest festivals the world over and most of which have never been screened in Cameroon, cover topics such as solidarity, forgiveness, and citizenship, as well as racism, segregation, misogyny, and revolution. They discuss recurrent contemporary issues such as memory, immigration and power. The screenings will be followed by discussions with the audience.
