Close to 17 years after it was created, the collaborative online encyclopaedia, Wikipedia, has become part and parcel of the lives of netizens at large. Whatever our centres of interest, Wikipedia almost always appears inevitably among the top results of search engines. However, have you ever wondered how this encyclopaedia is built? If yes, have you ever contributed in drafting or improving a Wikipedia article? The Wikimedians of Cameroon User Group, which is affiliated with the Wikimedia Foundation and promotes the latter’s projects in Cameroon, gives people the opportunity to learn how to contribute to articles on the platform so as to foster Cameroon’s visibility on Wikipedia.
