At Once…

Ulrich Takam had an astonishing year. There was the Prix Goethe-Découverte of course, but 2018 was also the year in which he showcased his second one-man-show, “Ensemble”, was selected as one of the 10 finalists of Prix RFI Talents du rire, and participated in the 6th season of Parlement du rire. To this list one can add many performances around the country and the humorous revelation award during La Caravane de l’humour in Douala. For two years now, 24-year-old Urich Gildas Tchinde Takam has been building his career as an atypical comedian, which he launched in the Performance Arts and Cinematography Department of the Faculty of Arts, University of Yaoundé I. After his first degree in theatre, he tried his hand at stand-up. Working with stage director Landry Nguetsa, he set up his first performance, “Faut pas rêver”. This multitalented artist is also a radio and TV host on Kalak FM and Canal 2 International.  His new show "D'un Coup…" will be premiered at the Goethe-Institut's Decouverte platform.
