Poetry Slam Night
It has now been over 10 years since spoken word poetry broke onto Cameroon’s art and culture scene. The genre, through collectives, workshops and performances, has set out to conquer the public. In this connection, the collectives, 237Paroles and Entre2Vers, are proud to launch Slameroun, the first international poetry slam festival in Cameroon, which will henceforth give spoken word poets and orators a platform to express and celebrate the word. Come and witness a new show at Goethe-Institut Kamerun with the flag bearers of Cameroonian poetry word poetry and guest artists from Algeria, Gabon, Guinea Conakry, Ethiopia and Chad. The festival’s programme features concerts, workshops, exchanges, creation, conferences and debates.
