5th Festival of German Cinema

Welcome to Germany © Still from the Film VICTORIA

Victoria, a young woman from Madrid, meets four young Berlin guys in a club. What starts as a big, crazy adventure turns into a nightmare: Sonne and his gang have got themselves into hot water and Victoria ends up being involved. A journey to the end of Theo night – breathless, captivating and helplessly romantic. “Victoria” is a fascinating tour-deforce, shot in real time with a unique, wide camera angle – 2 hours, 20 minutes, without cuts. It was screened in the main competition section of the 65th Berlin International Film Festival where it won the Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Contribution for Cinematography. It received the German Film Award in six categories, including Best Feature Film.
