Arrangements in tropical cyclone situations
Hongkong

1. Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is in force BEFORE the start of classes 
 
If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is in force 3 hours before the start of classes, these classes will be cancelled.
 
Mon – Fri afternoon classes for teenagers (4:30 PM – 6:00 PM)
If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is still in force at 1:30 PM, the afternoon classes will be cancelled.

Mon – Fri evening classes for adults (6:30 PM – 9:40 PM)
If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is still in force at 3:30 PM, the evening classes will be cancelled.
 
Sat & Sun morning classes (10:00 AM – 1:10 PM)
If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is still in force at 7:00 AM, the morning classes will be cancelled.
 
Sat & Sun afternoon classes (2:30 PM – 5:40 PM)
If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is still in force at 11:30 AM, the afternoon classes will be cancelled.
 
2. Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is in force DURING classes that have already started
 
If Typhoon Signal No. 8 (or above) is in force during classes that have already started, these classes will immediately be cancelled.
 
3. Official Announcements by the Hong Kong Observatory 
 
When there is an official announcement by the Hong Kong Observatory that Typhoon Signal No. 8 (or above) will be put in force at 6:00 PM, the evening classes for that day will be cancelled.
 
When there is an official announcement by the Hong Kong Observatory that Typhoon Signal No. 8 (or above) will be put in force during a class (Mon-Fri teenagers: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM, Mon-Fri adults: 6:30 PM – 9:40 PM, Sat & Sun 10:00 AM – 1:10 PM, Sat & Sun 2:30 PM – 5:40 PM), these classes will be cancelled 30 minutes before the signal will be put in force.
 
4. There will be no make-up classes or refunds for classes that were cancelled due to the above-mentioned situations.
