Exhibition by Silas Fong
Piccoloministr. 316 is a solo exhibition by Silas Fong after his 30 months stay in Berlin and Cologne in Germany. During the stay, the Hong Kong born and raised contemporary artist participated a 3-month artist-in-residence programme and furthered his studies in the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. The exhibition shows a selection of his works produced during the past two years ranging from text, photographs, video projection and installation. These works were inspired by the difference in meaning and means of spending time between people living in Hong Kong and Germany perceived by the artist. Making use of the trivial experience such as undertaking an internship in a museum, long bus rides and attending classes, the artist presents art that reminds us to look at our own experience and question the significance of things in everyday which we were told.
