Our Beethoven celebration has moved online, recorded on Beethoven’s birthday last week! This concert features a rarely performed and delightful Serenade by a youthful Beethoven, preceded by Hong Kong composer Charles Kwong’s early chamber work of the same instrumentation, inspired by a dream-like novel by Haruki Murakami. Prefaced in turn by a miniature-homage for electronics by Angus Lee, you can see behind-the-scenes preparation of the final event in this series "Crossroads", which examines extraordinary documents bearing witness to Beethoven’s creative process.
