Dear Friends of the Goethe-Institut
Dear Readers

We are pleased to present our new newsletter Language at the beginning of the academic year 2020 /21. It will be published six times a year – event-related – and will provide you with interesting information about learning and teaching German.  Here you will be able to find out everything about our courses, our examinations, our further-training programs for teachers of German, scholarship opportunities, competitions and much more.
Furthermore, I am pleased to inform you that as of August 24, there is a new representative for language courses and examination organisation at the Goethe-Institut Cyprus.  Marek Gryglewicz is a trained Germanist and cultural scientist from the University of Freiburg, and has taught German as a foreign language in Germany, the USA, England and Japan. He has been at the Goethe-Institut since 2015, most recently as director of the Goethe Language Learning Centre in Qingdao/China from 2018 to 2020.

Wishing you enjoyable reading
Karin Varga
Institute director and head of language department
