What are the prerequisites for the blended-learning intensive course?

Interested parties for higher levels who have not yet learned German or who learned German more than twelve months ago at the Goethe-Institut will be individually assessed by us.

How is the Blended-Learning intensive course structured?

Course structure The course combines classroom sessions and tutored independent studying. Tutors provide regular feedback and can unlock additional practice materials. Face-to-face sessions are an ideal opportunity to practice the language. During the first course meeting you will receive all the necessary information.

How much time do I have to invest in the Blended-Learning intensive course?

The workload is 7,5-10 units per week: A1 and A2: 5 units classroom sessions + 5 units tutored self-study B1.1 and higher: 2.5 units classroom session + 5 units tutored self-study Tip: A certain amount of self-discipline and relatively regular work are, however, important in order to complete the tasks successfully.

Will I receive a certificate of participation after completing the Blended-Learning intensive course?

Yes, if you have worked well on 70 percent of the content on the learning platform and participated in 70 percent of the classroom sessions. The confirmation of participation does not replace the Goethe Certificate.

How it works

Classroom sessions at the institute
For face-to-face lessons you only have to come to the Goethe-Institut in Nicosia once a week. You will learn German in a group of 6 to 12 students.

Online learning platform
During the online units, you will work on your computer using the Goethe-Institut’s interactive learning platform. You can individually and flexibly decide when and where you want to learn. With the help of professional, multimedia exercises and the latest learning methods, you will practice your reading, writing, and listening comprehension skills in German.

Support from your teacher
A German teacher will personally support you for the entire duration of the course. This teacher will give you new assignments and regular feedback on your progress.
