- You will be assigned to the appropriate German Online Group Course based on your results (A1, A2, B1, B2 or C1), before completing a sub-level that forms part of a full level.
Levels
According to the Common European Framework of Reference for languages
The number of lessons that are usually required to reach a certain level and take the corresponding Goethe certificate are based on experience. Individual aspects such as language learning experience and native language also play an important role. We will grade you before the start of the course in order to ensure optimal learning success.
Despite this being an online course, our participants receive individual support from their teacher. After all, we view each and every participant’s personal learning progress as a top priority.
Helga Sekanina-Georg, Head of Language Courses and Examinations, Frankfurt Goethe-Institut
- Your German Online Group Course is split into various sections, in which you will learn about everyday subjects and contemporary topics as well as gaining relevant vocabulary and grammar knowledge.
- Your German learning experience will involve a variety of individual and group online exercises (e.g. videos, pictures, audio clips, reading texts, gap-fills). You will also work on exercises to be submitted to your teacher via email (e.g. longer writing tasks), which will then be checked and sent back to you with detailed feedback. This will enable you to practice your German listening, reading and writing skills, while the online live sessions will give you the opportunity to practice your German speaking skills.
- If any questions come to mind, you are welcome to discuss them with the classmates in your German online course on the forum or to email your teacher.
- You can also download and print out important quick reference guides to various subjects for future use.
