Residency Program Cultural Garage

The Cultural Garage is a cultural space, founded by Goethe-Institut Alexandria in 2019 under the name of 6 Bab Sharq to grant a space to the cultural scene of Alexandria - a space for cultural and artistic experimentation, expression, and training. By offering training and a platform to foster skills that are needed for cultural and artistic work, the Cultural Garage intends to nurture the cultural scene of Alexandria and thus contribute to a growing resilience of cultural actors.
Following a reconceptualization and renaming in early 2024, the space will be offered as a short-term residency space for Alexandrian cultural actors and organizations.
