The Right Path Team consists of a group of proactive young men and women who are interested in Egypt's future in Africa and the Arab world. These activists aim to significantly influence general policies through changing policies and practices by proposing local economic, cultural, and social empowerment initiatives. They aim to liberate Egyptians from fear and need and encourage proactivity through enthusiastic slogans, such as "Raise your head high; you are Egyptian". The group is driven by a solid vision regarding social progress and democracy in Egypt. It aims to develop partnerships through creative collaborative work. The group formed after the January 25th Revolution. It encourages participation in formulating sustainable development local governance; learning about legislations, government practices, and programs; the advancement of local administration policies; economic, cultural, and social empowerment initiatives, which preserve the rights of upcoming generations; and conserving the environment. They also support creative participation, train groups of varying ages to enrich their local communities, link between theory and reality, as well as exchange expertise through comparative frameworks. The group's aims are in accordance with the following: the UN sustainable development goals (specifically goals 10, 11, and 17, which are concerned with equality, sustainable cities and communities, and partnerships for achieving goals), the UN Anti-Corruption Convention, basic constituents of the Egyptian Constitution, the decentralization measures implemented by the state, the Egypt 2030 Vision, the National Strategy for Fighting Corruption, the Anti-Corruption and Integrating Transparency into Social Work Project (2009–2030), as well as individual beliefs, such as the belief that development is every citizen's right, collaboration is a national duty, and empowerment is the root to citizenship.
