Now you can borrow "Our little Shop of Words" for four weeks for pre-school classes and for the school entry phase. These are games and game ideas for learning and promoting the German language for pre-school age children of non-German parents, for pre-school groups in day-care centres and primary schools, for cooperation between educators and teachers. As the picture material is not linked to a specific language, it can also be used to promote first languages or other foreign languages.

Concept:
The actions in the multiple game options are very motivating, naturally promote vocabulary acquisition and encourage language use. The children can shop in different "shops": sporting goods, pharmacy, stationery, supermarket, fashion & clothing, toys, bakery & café, fruit and vegetables. In this form of authentic language action learning, other essential skills are acquired, such as fine motor skills, creativity and musical-aesthetic sensibility. Through the various play situations, social behaviour, teamwork, adherence to rules and dealing with problems and frustrations are also practised. The use of the copy templates "Das kann ich! My Portfolio" enables the documentation of individual language growth.
