Black comedy from the 1980s totalitarian Czechoslovakia about one day of clerk’s life who signs the anti-government petition “Charter 77” while drunk. Big enough problem as is, however, only the beginning of a series of troubles following one another: he cannot cope with his work and his boss, his 15-year old son announces he shall become father soon, his flat gets flooded because of a broken sewage pipe jammed by a pistol nobody knows where it came from, his wife threatens to leave him. As he shall get his wisdom teeth extracted, his chronic fear of the dentist becomes a mere banality in a flood of challenges. But perhaps he will regain his serenity in the end …
