THE CONTEST
The competition is open to all Ethiopian designers based in Ethiopia. CREATIVE FUTURES is looking for the best fashion designers in Apparel and Accessories. To participate, please fill out the application form and related requisites. The competition is a unique opportunity, which will bring talented top fashion designers to the European market. An international jury will be dedicated to select one winner who will travel to Europe and showcase his collection to the international market. The collection will be produced in Ethiopia under the supervision of a team of experts from FA254.
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: MARCH 27
Shortlisted applicants will be requested to meet on APRIL 3 AND 4 JURY to present their portfolio and work samples.
The final winner will be announced on APRIL 28.

The Designer warrants and represents that, to the best of his knowledge, the work assigned hereunder is original and has not been previously published, or that consent to use has been obtained on an unlimited basis; that all work or portions thereof obtained through the undersigned from third parties is original or, if previously published, that consent to use has been obtained on an unlimited basis; that the Designer has full authority to make this agreement; and that the work prepared by the Designer does not contain any scandalous, libellous, or unlawful matter.
There are no charges for participating in the competition.
AWARD
Showroom Presentation
The winner of CREATIVE FUTURES will have the opportunity to present his/her sample collection in the Hub of Africa Fashion Week in October 2017, an international platform in Addis Ababa, which gives international exposure to African fashion designers. During this time the designer will exhibit his/her collection and present it to an international buyer, who will be invited to the event as the main partner.
Training Program
The winner will receive training by a team of professionals organised under the guidance of the company Fashion Africa 254 (FA254).
Collection Production
The winner will have the opportunity to produce an entire collection with the advice of professionals from FA254 during the product development phases.
Distribution internationally
The winner will be able to produce a collection based on the order received by the international buyer.
Media exposure
Media coverage in FA254 website and media partner visibility.
PARTICIPATION REQUISITES
Designers interested in participating must submit the following documentation:
An application form completed in full;
Photographic material, serving as an example of the designer’s creations, related to his/her ost collection; Pictures of the collection or portfolio must be on ZIP file of 8 MB or less.
A style portfolio, sketches and a mood-board of the collection that the entrant wishes to present at the event; if any;
A complete company profile, if any;
A list of national and foreign sales points and e-commerce activities, if any;
A press release; if any.
