Hector Hugh Munro (1870-1916) was an English short-story writer and better known by his pen name Saki. He was one of the wittiest and funniest writers of short fiction.
Awgechew Terefe translated two works of him in his anthology of a short story collection “የአንገት ጌጡ እና ሌሎቸም አጫጭር ልቦለዶች - The necklace and other short stories” into Amharic. One of them is “እቃ ቤት ጠባቂው - The store keeper“. It is about a store keeper in a church who served for many years and couldn´t read and write.
