What are the technical requirements for online classes?

For an optimal learning experience, you need a Windows or Mac desktop computer or laptop. We do not recommend tablets, iPads, smartphones or other mobile equipment for this course, although it is possible to use them. You need a headset with microphone. If you use the built-in speakers and microphone on your laptop, it might cause an echo for the other participants in the online classrooms.

Can I change or cancel my course booking?

In case of cancellation, the following fees apply: a) Up to 4 weeks before beginning of course 10% of course fee, b) Up to 1 week before beginning of course 20% of course fee, c) Up to 1 day before beginning of course 30% of course fee, d) After course begins 100% of course fee. You should consider your personal commitments and circumstances before enrolment, as we regret that no fees are refundable once the course has started. We reserve the right to cancel classes with fewer than 10 students up to 24 hours before a course is due to start . In this case we will give you a full refund of the course fee paid. No other costs except the course fee will be refunded.

Will I get a certificate at the end of my class?

All students who attend at least 70% of their classes, and (for courses with an online component) complete at least 70% of their assignments will receive a certificate of participation for their course. Also, we prepare and encourage you to sign up for one of our official Goethe-Zertifikat exams, which will provide you with an internationally-recognised certificate to prove your language abilities. Course participants will be able to take an exam for a discounted rate.

Learning platform
Learn with many varied and everyday tasks on our learning platform - easy, flexible, individual and of the highest quality.

Support from the teacher
Your teacher gives you weekly training assignments, which you can work on flexibly at your own pace within the respective week. You will receive individual feedback on all assignments.

Online lessons in live sessions
You meet your teacher for four or eight group lessons in your virtual classroom. The live sessions take place in Zoom. If you have any questions, you can contact our language course office at any time.
