General Conditions
Our courses are designed for adult learners unless otherwise stated. Younger learners (16+) may be admitted after prior consultation.
Terms of Payment
2.1 Fees are payable in full on enrolment on the Goethe-Institut's bank account. Unless stated otherwise books must be purchased separately. Payments in instalments is possible under special circumstances and must be agreed on separately.
Fees
3.1
The contractually binding fee is the fee stated in the price list current at the time of application.
4. Cancellation and Refunds
In case of cancellations following fees apply:
4.1. A Cancellation prior to two weekdays (business days) before beginning of the course or exam - an administration fee of 40 € will be charged.
4.2. A cancellation later than two weekdays before beginning of the course/exam or later -
100% of course fee will be charged.
The cancellation shall be done written by email: sprache-helsinki@goethe.de
4.3. Refunds after the course start can be given only if you show a medical certificate or a certificate of moving in another city for professional reasons. In this case the course fee minus the fee for lessons already taken place and administration fee will be refunded.
4.4.Goethe-Institut reserves the right to cancel classes.In this case the course fee minus the fee for lessons already taken place will be refunded.
5. Group size and placement to the course
5.1.The assesment test of Goethe-Institut offers always the basic for finding the right course-level.
5.2. Our classes have the minimum of 5 participants and maximum of 15 participants. If the minimum limit is not fullfilled by course start, Goethe-Institut reserves the right to cancel or postpone the class. In such a case we offer the participants an opportunity to join another course or the refund of the total fee.
5.3.
A switch to a course other than the one you have already registered for, is possible only in exeptional cases with a special agreement shortly after the first course week.
6. Responsibilities of the participants
Participants are obliged to comply with the course rules and house rules applicable to the Goethe-Instituts
7. Liability of the Goethe-Institut
...and their staff are limited to intent and gross negligence. The Goethe-Institut accepts no liability for the cancellation of its services due to force majeure (e.g. natural disaster, fire, floods, war, official orders and all other circumstances beyond the control of the contractual parties).
8. Privacy protection
GI collects, processes and uses the personal data of the course participant only for the purpose to fullfill the coursecontract.
