Error 417 Expectation Failed

The newly launched foundation 'Error 417 Expectation Failed' is looking for 10 scores against tech fascism. Artists, curators, and collectives worldwide are invited to apply with project ideas, instructions, how-tos, interventions and practices that engage with the contemporary condition.

Running 8 – 18 October 2025, this weeklong lab held at the Tselinny Center for Contemporary Culture in Almaty, Kazakhstan will focus on aural traditions and the wind as both a powerful cultural symbol and physical element.

Queen Mary Wasafiri New Writing Prize

Recognising excellence in fiction, life writing, and poetry for over fifteen years, awarding some of the most exciting new voices worldwide. Representing more of the globe than any other prize of its kind, it is dedicated to supporting writers who have not yet published a book-length work, with no limits on age, gender, nationality, or background.

German - Goethe-Institut Award - The Society of Authors

This translation prize is aimed at new and emerging translators based in the UK and Ireland, whose literary translation work has not yet been published in print. Entry is open to UK and Irish nationals and those who have been resident in the UK or Ireland for the past three years.

Goethe-Institut Worldwide: Arts funding and residencies

The Goethe-Institut promotes culture and the arts in every discipline. We provide funding to enable professional as well as newcomer and amateur artists, whether in groups or individually, to carry out residencies and projects in Germany or abroad.
