The Arts Infopoint UK initiative

Arts Infopoint UK is a pilot initiative to support the arts sector with information on practical issues relating to artist mobility. The project will look at ways to provide support for international artists visiting the UK as well as venues or companies in the UK who want to invite an international artist or company to perform here.

Publishing Ecology

Loose Joints Publishing and the Mahler & LeWitt Studios are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for artists engaged with environmental issues through photography, in partnership with Atmos and with support from Picter. Publishing Ecology is a yearly opportunity to develop an artist’s practice through a residency and publishing award.

Sensoria Film and Music Festival

The 16th edition of Sensoria, the UK’s festival of film, music and digital, will take place in Sheffield from 4 – 7 October 2023. The festival team are on the hunt for exciting new work in the realms of music, film, and digital. There are no specific themes this year, we’re open to all ideas.

Bristol translates

Aimed at translators at any stage of their career, Bristol Translates (3–7 July 2023) offers the opportunity to work with leading professional translators to translate texts across the literary genres into English. Bristol Translates summer school takes place online, with 3 days of translation workshops, and 2 days devoted to non-language-specific workshops and industry talks.

SHAPE+ platform

SHAPE+ aims to foster exceptional emerging talent, connecting them to local communities and audiences through collaborative residencies with multiple artistic outcomes, commissioned artworks, as well as one-off presentations and performances. Combining an open call and a curatorial selection, the participating festivals and venues will select a roster of artists to support each year.

Making Tracks

Making Tracks is an annual artist residency and tour based around the twin theme of musical traditions and the natural world. Every year Making Tracks select eight Fellows (exceptional emerging music professionals, and more experienced musicians deserving of wider recognition) via their open call for artists. Applicants are asked to write about their musical background and interests, as well as provide some other basic information, including samples of their solo and collaborative work.
