Crime Fiction in Germany and the UK

This event was all about crime fiction. In our murder mystery game the audience was invited to guess ‘whodunnit’. In the ensuing panel discussion 4 authors from Germany and the UK discussed the genre in their countries.

Two German and two British crime fiction authors, Mechtild Borrmann, Louise Welsh, Mario Giordano und Michael Ridpath, read from their novels and discussed the intricacies of their genre with Katharina Hall, Professor of German at Swansea University and author of the Mrs Peasbody Investigates crime fiction blog.

The Crime Fiction event, presented by New Books in German (NBG) and the Goethe-Institut London, was held at the Goethe-Institut London library.
