Heinz Bude
(born: 1954 in Wuppertal), Sociologist
Heinz Bude studied Sociology, Philosophy and Psychology in Tübingen and Berlin. He then worked as a Research Assistant at the Free University of Berlin and as a freelance Social Researcher before completing his doctorate and post-doctoral thesis. Bude worked at the Hamburg Institute for Social Research, and has been a Professor of Macrosociology at the University of Kassel since 2002. He wrote various non-fiction books, including Deutsche Karrieren (1987), Bilanz der Nachfolge. Die Bundesrepublik und der Nationalsozialismus (1992), Die Ausgeschlossenen. Das Ende vom Traum einer gerechten Gesellschaft (2008) und Solidarität. Die Zukunft einer großen Idee (2019).
