We look forward to your visit. Our courses take place in-house as well as online, we offer exams under secure conditions, and our Library is open to the public. We are delighted that we can hold events in our building while continuing many digital and online offerings.

How we keep you safe

We do everything we can to ensure that your stay at the Goethe-Institut Glasgow takes place under safe conditions, but we also ask you to behave responsibly and considerately towards other guests and our employees. Please do not come to the Goethe-Institut if you or a member of your household may be ill. Should you develop Covid-19 symptoms after a visit to the Institute please inform us.

Face Coverings

Whilst there is no longer a legal requirement, it is recommended that you continue to wear a face covering in crowded and enclosed spaces.

On entering the building and before touching media or appliances we kindly ask you to desinfect your hands with the gel provided throughout the building. 


Smaller courses and minimum distance

Minimum Distance

We ask visitors to still maintain a respectful distance to other persons within the buiding wherever possible.


Cleaning and ventilation of the classrooms

Cleaning and Ventilation

We ensure that our frequently touched surfaces, buttons and handles are cleaned and disinfected regularly and we air all rooms frequently. In addition air purifiers are in operation.


Digital advice and contactless payments

Advice and Payment

We advise by phone or by e-mail. You can book our courses and exams via the web shop and make contactless payments in-house.
