The Goethe-Institut is looking for a Project Coordinator  (m/f/d) for Educational Services to start on 15.04.2024 (or later). The successful applicant will be offered a temporary contract for 2 years.

Employment will be full-time with 39 hours per week. The position will be remunerated at £32,880 p.a. in accordance with the current remuneration scheme for local staff at the Goethe-Institut London. Annual Leave starts with 26 days plus Bank Holidays. This increases depending on length of service. The Goethe-Institut also offers a contributory pension scheme.
 

Duties Comprise:

  • Organisational support and implementation, including preparation and follow-up, of projects for educational services within the framework of Gimagine (e.g. school visits, tour planning, motivational programmes for pupils, competitions, information events, visitor trips, author readings, etc.).
  • Organisational and conceptual support and implementation of prefessional development programmes and training for German language teachers
  • Conception and creation of teaching materials and didactic materials with the local team in the UK in coordination with Goethe-Instituts in Europe
  • Organisation of and participation in fairs and conferences
  • Budget monitoring and planning, administration, and reporting
  • Administrative and organisational tasks (providing information and advice, maintaining and establishing contacts, supporting the Head of Language Department)
  • Close cooperation with the Advisor for German in the UK and with the Educational Services team
  • Cooperation with the Goethe-Instituts in Europe
 

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the UK education system
  • Thorough expertise in the fields of education and German as a foreign language, including professional experience
  • Experience as a trainer for professional development
  • Experience in the creation of teaching and training materials
  • Proven experience in project management
  • Flexibility and reliability
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong social and intercultural skills
  • Team and communication skills
  • High resilience
  • Very good knowledge of German and English  
  • Very good IT skills: MS Office, digital learning platforms
  • Willingness to work flexibly
  • Willingness to undertake business trips in the UK and abroad
