Exchange projects

A partnership with a school in Germany is a great way to encourage pupils to learn German! And it’s never been easier! Did you know that there is a whole range of grants and funds available for UK-German projects?

The Goethe-Institut Glasgow and the London-based "UK-German Connection" (UKGC) work closely together to provide you with everything you need to get your German-Scottish project started!

UK-German Connection is dedicated to increasing contacts and understanding between young people in the UK and Germany. With this information service, you will have easy access to all UK-German youth projects and activities.  

  • Discover opportunities for youth and school links with Germany. Find out about programmes and grants for initiating contacts. 
  • Discuss your ideas and projects with the "UK-German Connection" team.
  • Share your experience and benefit from best practice. Join a network.

"UK-German Connection" is a joint project of the two governments, the German Embassy London and the British Embassy Berlin, the British Council, the "Pädagogischer Austauschdienst" in Bonn, and the Goethe-Institut.
