The aims of the sessions are to equip non-specialist language teaching staff with:
- an understanding of and familiarity with the Goethe-Institut’s Felix & Franzi Key Stage 2 course
- an understanding of basic vocabulary, structure and grammar of the German language
- models of and ideas for good language teaching practice
- the confidence to deliver German to Key Stage 2 pupils in school
The course enables teachers to deliver German language lessons in an age-appropriate, knowledgeable, informed, varied, confident and enthusiastic way.
The sessions are offered free of charge. A minimum group size of 6 teachers is required. Teachers can be from one school or from different schools. Please note that participation in all sessions is expected.
Here you can find information about the Felix & Franzi course.
If interested please contact Dominique Böert at email@example.com
If you are teacher in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, please contact the London Language Office to enrol.
If you are teacher in Scotland, please contact the Glasgow Language Office to enrol.
The information is primarily targeted at assistants on the PAD (Pädagogischer Austauschdienst) exchange programme but other assistants are welcome to it as well.
Keep an eye out on our professional development calendar for future DLL courses offered by the Goethe-Institut London.
