The Goethe-Institut London is happy to announce that it has teamed up with the Institut für junge Forscherinnen und Forscher (IfJF) in Germany to offer free workshops for learners of German aged 14+ with a level of A1–A2 German on modern health technologies and creative problem solving skills. The workshops offer a unique chance for students to work with their peers in a team effort to tackle one of the most relevant problems our modern society is facing. 

The workshops will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams and there is a maximum of 30 students per workshop.

Please apply for either Workshop A (morning) or Workshop B (afternoon) with a minimum of 2 students per school. Spaces will be granted on a first come first serve basis. We would encourage the German teacher take part in the live sessions.
WORKSHOP A (morning)
16–18 Feb 2021, 
10am - 1pm (GMT)
All sessions start with a 45 minute input meeting on digital medicine or the Design Thinking method which require the presence of the German teacher, and are followed by  a 120 minutes hands-on session on problem solving, various experiments and team work on creating practical solutions to the problems presented

WORKSHOP B (afternoon)

If you would like to take part in either the morning or afternoon workshop with a dedicated team of students, please register your interest by sending an email to , the Goethe-Institut London’s PASCH co-ordinator, by 15 February 2021.
  • Please state your preference for either the morning or the afternoon sessions and also indicate your willingness to be moved if spaces are fully booked.
  • Please confirm if the German teacher will be present for the live sessions each day.
All applicants will be informed by 15 February 2021 whether they have been accepted or whether they have been placed on a waiting list.
