German Rapper Chefket in Glasgow
The Goethe-Institut, in co-operation with Platform, proudly presents Chefket in Glasgow!
The concert is part of a North West Europe tour with further stops in Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Cardiff, Dublin, Oslo, Stockholm and Helsinki. The concerts offer a very special access to the German language and culture and are a great motivation for language learners.
The rapper CHEFKET is known for his intelligent and humorous lyrics, his apt observations of society and distinctive voice. His family is from Turkey, he was born in 1981 in Germany and has been living and working in Berlin since 2006. He says about his music: "I firmly believe that you can change something with music. Even if only I am the one who will change." He sees language as "... my instrument. The more languages I speak the larger the vocabulary to describe things."
Registration
The concert is offered free of charge to secondary schools and university students. If you are interested in bringing your school class to the rapper’s concert at Platform in Easterhouse, please register by 25.09.2016.
