Free Film Screening for Schools

The Into Film Festival is a free and annual celebration of film and education for schools and young people across the UK.

The Festival, formerly known as the National Youth Film Festival, takes place between 9th November – 25th November 2016. It aims to help educators bring learning to life for 5-19 year olds by inspiring young people to watch, make and understand film in new and creative ways.

As part of the festival nationwide screenings of German films will be offered.

Synopsis
As part of the festival nationwide screenings of German films will be offered.
14-year-old Mika has failed her exams at school, so she’s not allowed to go on holiday with her friend Fanny. Instead, she has to take her schoolbooks to the countryside and spend time with her strict grandmother. There is hardly any mobile reception there, but there is a horse riding school, a cute young stable hand called Sam and especially Ostwind, a stallion that’s considered untamable and dangerous. An unusual friendship develops between Ostwind and the girl.
Ostwind was awarded the children’s media award The White Elephant at the Munich International Film Festival 2013. In 2014, it was awarded the German Film Award for Best Children’s Film.
